While our focus is on providing local brides with wedding planning inspiration, we look for any type of informational or educational articles that help brides plan weddings or smooth their planning process and answer the questions they have about what needs to be done, how and when or different ways they can possibly do various elements of their wedding.
The submissions we focus on include everything from formulating a wedding budget to interesting honeymoon destinations, from etiquette guidelines to when and how to tip vendors, tips on how to gracefully handle unusual family relationships on their guest list , insider information including tips on having insurance or getting local licenses, choosing favors or how to send personal thank you notes, fashion trends and styles and helpful advice from brides who wish they’d done or had and other hints, tips and tricks to enhance the planning experience for brides embarking on the complicated wedding planning journey.
Tips for big weddings, small weddings, and weddings of any size, outdoors and indoors, live music or dj, from options to explore to special features they may not have thought of, we’re out to assist the brides with ideas and thoughtful advice to help ease their anxieties and answer their concerns.
We particularly welcome those with expertise in the wedding industry – local wedding professionals have the experience and knowledge that can help educate brides in both general wedding information and information specific to their industry segment. We’re not adverse to submissions for everything from quirky and trendy wedding ideas to the stunningly elegant and anything in between, but mostly we’re looking for fresh ideas or ideas put in a new light or new way that our brides will find helpful and inspiring.
Our rules for the article submissions we choose for publication are pretty simple. First, we require that these articles be completely original to our site (except on your own company blog), be positive and upbeat and support our vendor advertisers, not detract from the services they offer or denigrate their professional services or what they charge for those services. We look for helpful and unique information for the brides AND grooms planning weddings that guide them through some of the potential difficulties or help direct them to making smart choices for their big day. Our goal is educational info that helps them both plan and understand what goes into the planning and execution of their plans.
Please be advised that due to the high number of submissions it can take up to 4 weeks for us to respond. However, you’ll hear back from us no matter what, we promise! We love to highlight a wide variety of styles, budgets and cultures, so don’t be shy about writing about different elements of the wedding industry! If your article is selected for publication, we’ll ask for photographs to accompany the article prior to publication. If you haven’t heard back from us and it’s been more than 4 weeks since you submitted or if you have any questions or concerns about the submissions process please contact us here or see our rules here.
PLEASE NOTE: We do not publish content that has already been published on other blogs (other than your own company blog) or magazines, as we like to offer our readers something fresh and new. If you have submitted this for publication elsewhere, please let us know. Please respect copyright laws with any submission, make sure it is original content and you have explicit permission to use any photographs from the photographer. Thank you!
